System Files
System file formats store critical information necessary for a computer system’s operation. These files typically belong to the operating system, including macOS, Linux, and Windows.
System files are usually hidden from users and protected from removal, editing, or deletion to prevent accidental corruption. Examples include device drivers, dynamic link libraries, and executables.
